I find it hard to believe this is taking up space on this site. Every time a farmer hacks up a car, are you going to list it? Prove me wrong. PLEASE . Maybe the Manx I saw last weekend was actually a 1940 2wd fiberglass prototype for the schwimmwagen.

Indeed awesome! I hope it will get the attention it deserves. It will need a very skilled restorer to get it back on the road again. IMHO the Grundmann family is probably the best option…

so there is some more exciting news developing on this. more photos were taken and some visits are being made.
apparently the original colour was black and it was definitely once a VW38 proto! awesome!

I’ve been following this thread also, it seems very strange but very exciting… if it’s real. I hope it is and it ends up in a museum.
